Meet the Coach Behind the Vision
Elite Ballers Official was founded by Zayne Simpson, a highly respected technical coach with experience at Exeter City Academy and across multiple elite youth environments. After a decorated youth career of his own, Zayne turned his focus to coaching — blending academy-level precision with a passion for developing confident, intelligent footballers.
At Elite Ballers Official, we don’t just run drills — we build complete players. Our coaching framework is grounded in four key pillars that develop confident, technically excellent, and game-intelligent footballers. Whether you’re in grassroots or pushing toward academy level, this structure ensures your development is purposeful and progressive.
The Elite Ballers Coaching Framework
Technical Mastery in Motion
Strong technique underpins every great player. Our sessions begin with high-repetition technical work, focused on refining control, movement, and ball manipulation in dynamic environments. Using high-tempo skill sequences, creative foot patterns, and advanced ball striking drills, we build a foundation of explosive, adaptable ability.
What it develops:
Confident first touch
Two-footed control and passing
High-speed execution under pressure
Comfort in tight areas
1v1 Domination
Football is about solving problems under pressure. Our 1v1 duel practices stretch players to apply their technique with purpose — using changes of pace, deception, and awareness to beat defenders. Every session challenges players to be brave, unpredictable, and efficient when taking on opponents.
What it develops:
Decision-making in isolated moments
Spatial awareness and timing
Confidence in possession
Attacking creativity and composure
Game Intelligence & Real Scenarios
We believe players should train how they play. Our game-related practices combine technical skill with tactical awareness — developing sharper decision-makers who can influence games. Through scenario-based drills and positional exercises, players learn to think faster, move smarter, and adapt in real time.
What it develops:
Tactical understanding
Movement off the ball
Transition play (attack/defence)
Execution under pressure
Small-Sided Intensity
Small-sided games are where everything comes together. With fewer players on the pitch, individuals get more touches, more decisions, and more moments to shine. These high-intensity games mimic match-day tempo and push players to apply skills, awareness, and mindset in fast transitions.
What it develops:
Ball retention under pressure
Goal-scoring instinct
Defensive responsibility
Fitness, focus, and resilience
Why It Works
Our framework ensures that every player, regardless of current level, is exposed to high-quality reps, technical learning, and match-relevant training. It’s what bridges the gap between potential and performance — and it’s why Elite Ballers continues to produce standout players across Bristol and the South West.

Real stories from young footballers who’ve transformed their game with Elite Ballers coaching.
“My 9-year-old son has been working with Elite Ballers for over a year, and it’s been a real game changer. Zayne has built a great relationship with him and provides detailed, individual coaching. I’d highly recommend Zayne to anyone serious about improving — with consistency and his knowledge, the results speak for themselves.”

“A massive shout out to Elite Ballers for the work they’ve done with my daughter over the past few years. They’re true specialists in player development for both boys and girls and really know how to bring the best out of players. Friendly, easy to work with, and always pushing for better results"
Iyla Smith

“I’ve been working alongside Zayne at Elite Ballers to help sharpen and improve my game. He’s helped me stay physically fit and technically sharp during a period when I wasn’t playing as much football as I would have liked. He’s a great coach, but also a great guy. I would definitely recommend him and really appreciate all the work we’ve done together — and will continue to do.”
